Trail: Sedona; Sedona, AZ

Just remembering some trails that we took. In October, I had to go to Phoenix for business so I took a day w/ 2 other guys to do some Sedona MTB. Never been out west before so it was a treat because of the different riding conditions. Trails were fun, some were much more technical than I expected. I didn't expect technical for some reason... The slick rock was cool and the area was awesome to be around. Here is the trail we took:

Trail: Sugarloaf Mountain; Dickerson, MD

This is always a fun ride, somewhat rocky but not Gambrill/Watershed Rocky. Has some nice climbs and some nice downhills. Again, variety is the spice of life. You can find more info about it here. Note, that its only open during the weekdays between Memorial and Labor days.

Trail: Seneca Creek; Gaithersburg, MD

Another trail... a little short, but a fun change.

Trail: Gambrill Park - Yellow Trail; Frederick, MD

So I have a bunch of these maps out there and realized that their aren't real good copies of a lot of trails so I'm going to post some, let me know if you need some for particular trails. I've collected or created quite a few. Here is the trail map for the yellow trail at Gambrill with the profile.

Where I rode 2006...

So I was hoping to ride in as many different places this year as I could and accomplished that more than I thought. Here are the places I rode...

International:
  • Rotorua in New Zealand
  • 2 Places in Melbourne Australia
Far Away or Sort of Far Away:
  • Sedona, Arizona
  • Walker Ranch, Colorado
  • Big Bear, West Virginia
  • Elizabeth Furnace, Virginia
My Backyard:
  • Schaeffer Farm
  • Hoyles Mill
  • Seneca Creek
  • Black Hill
  • Sugar Loaf
  • Gambrill
  • Frderick Watershed
  • Patapsco
All in all a good year of variety... Hoping for the same in 2007.
