A place where I go in the winter a lot. I posted the winter route, but I want to fill in a better view of how many trails this little park actually has. So here it is, I'll keep filling it in as I get out. Hopefully by Spring, I'll have the map complete. Enjoy.

Trails: Hoyles Mill/Black Hill Winter Loop
Here is a nice 17 mile loop that does well in the winter months. Its also a nice extension to Schaeffer in the summer to get some additional mileage. Note that Hoyles Mill on the north side is the fastest to start melting, so if its a iffy day as far as conditions, start at the parking lot on 121 instead. Lastly, the log crossing can be a challenge when the log is a little snowy and icy. Carrying a bike in bike shoes know that if you make a mistake you fall into 2 feet of icy stream water when you are 2 miles from the closet point... Ugh!
