Got a ride in
Got a ride in on Saturday before everything thawed out and became muddy. Was time limited so I only got in a hair over 13 miles at Black Hill/Hoyles Mills, but it was fun. Tomorrow, I get my first snowboarding fix of the year at Tremblant in Montreal.

Must Ride
Going through withdrawal... the cold is getting to me. Spinning classes are just not a replacement to being in the woods. Tomorrow... hopefully.

New Bike - Haro Mary SS
Well I broke down and got another bike to add to the stable. Been looking for a bike that's easy to take care of and will spare my FSR from the wear and tear from winter riding. After trying out a SS for a few times, I've decided it would be a fun bike to have for certain rides and if your going to get a SS you might as well get a rigid 29 at the same time. I didn't want to spend a fortune and I wanted disc breaks (meaning I wanted an EBB) so I ended up choosing this bike.

Trails: Walkers Ranch; Front Range, Colorado
This was a really cool trail, very different than the trails out east that I normally ride. The altitude caused me problems on the hills. I think the trail started was mostly in the 7k to 9k foot range. It didn't help that I hadn't ridden that much before I went, but it was still a blast. I did this in May 2006. Lastly, remember to wear sunscreen when riding so high, I got a little burn and I usually don't burn much.

Trail: Sedona; Sedona, AZ
Just remembering some trails that we took. In October, I had to go to Phoenix for business so I took a day w/ 2 other guys to do some Sedona MTB. Never been out west before so it was a treat because of the different riding conditions. Trails were fun, some were much more technical than I expected. I didn't expect technical for some reason... The slick rock was cool and the area was awesome to be around. Here is the trail we took:

Trail: Sugarloaf Mountain; Dickerson, MD
This is always a fun ride, somewhat rocky but not Gambrill/Watershed Rocky. Has some nice climbs and some nice downhills. Again, variety is the spice of life. You can find more info about it here. Note, that its only open during the weekdays between Memorial and Labor days.
